SOURDOUGH CAR RENTALS

Our vehicle rental agency is open on a year round basis.  Our vehicles are not current model years, but they are dependable.  If you want current model years contact Avis, they are only here for the summers.
We aim to please with our Car rental service but we are in a pretty secluded location... so even though we do not have the newer cars, we make sure that our cars can handle their surroundings very well and are safe and reliable..(knock on wood)

Prices include taxes & mileage on our suggested route--
approximately 200 miles roundtrip.
Any additional miles are at a rate of 25 cents/mile.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cancel more than 48 hours from the reservation date, there is a $25 charge. If you cancel less than 48 hours from the reservation date, you will be charged the full rental fee.  We operate on a first come, first served, good faith policy.  No matter what time of the day between 8am & 5pm, your vehicle will be waiting for you. 

Hours of Operation:  8am to 5pm; I will be there earlier on early boat days,we have an after hours key drop off.

Vehicles come with a full tank of gas & need to be returned with a full tank of gas.  If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of gas, we will charge your credit card for the amount of the gas plus a $25 refueling charge.

Any traffic violations (ie, speeding tickets, parking tickets, etc.) or any damages incurred to the vehicle while in the rentor's possession are the responsibility of the rentor.

Vehicles ARE NOT ALLOWED off roading.  Vehicles are ONLY ALLOWED on established & maintained roadways.  Our suggested route is on established & maintained roadways.

Suggested Route:  You will need your passport.  Any minor child not traveling with both biological parents needs to have not only a passport but a notarized letter from both biological parents allowing the minor child to accompany the specifically named individual(s) to Canada.

We suggest you travel up the Klondike Highway to Carcross BC CANADA, The World's Smallest Desert & Emerald Lake. Returning to Skagway, be sure to take advantage of the vistas provided at the various pull outs.  Informational boards have been provided by the US Parks Service.  You'll want to take the first road to your right before returning to the Skagway town proper.  This narrow, mountainous road takes you past Pioneer Cemetery, Long Bay, The Chilkoot Trailhead, & Slide Cemetery to the former townsite of DYEA, Skagway's rival town during the Klondike Gold Rush.  Just after crossing the bridge at the entrance to Skagway, taking the first road to your left will lead you to the historic Gold Rush Cemetery, where Soapy Smith (aka Jefferson Randolf Smith) and Frank Reid were laid to rest.  We supply you with a narrative of the route upon picking up your vehicle.
